8 inch by 6 inch Canvas Montage/Collage/Assemblage Art
This another of my art pieces part of my Alley Art collection. This canvas montage is entitled “All Americana Rejects #1”
All of the items on this canvas were loose items found in my neighborhood’s alleys. That’s right each item was something thrown away. I do not dumpster dive to retrieve these items. Each item, bit, piece, that I used was something discarded, but for whatever reason it did not make the dumpster or it may have slid free/out when the garbage truck did pickup.
My only criteria for what I used to create my alley art is that the item be something manmade (plastic, metal items, brick, tile, broken glass etc. etc.)
For this particular montage I used a bunch of whole and actual items that I had found. ( but i also love to use the broken stuff … like colorful broken plastic glass… and bits and pieces of just about anything manmade. )
There is no attachment for purpose of hanging purposes. It also is not framed. Any attachment or frame would need to be added by the buyer if so desired.
I have included photos of this canvas piece at various angles and also photos of sections of it up close. I have more photos I could share, but the limit on Etsy is 10. If you’d like to see a close up photo of any section that you don’t see in these photos please contact me and I can email you a photo.
Please read “My Story” a copy of which is included in the photos of this listing.
My way of “signing” is a partial finger print of mine on the back. PLEASE NOTE this is UNFRAMED and does not have an attachment for hanging purposes. Any attachment or frame would need to be added by the purchaser if so desired.
I created this canvas montage by painting a background of coloring on the canvas and then planned out where I wanted every item before I started to use epoxy to glue the pieces onto the canvas. Once it was finished, I sprayed it several times with clear Mod Podge.
