Illustrated Zine Essay: Art Under Capitalism (Digital Download)

Hi, I'm Fareeha Khan and maker of this zine: "Is Art Under Capitalism Futile? (In Short, No, but Here is a Socio-Economic Explanation of Why it Feels That Way.)" I'm a comedian and artist based in Brooklyn, NY and I'm obsessed with finding ways to explain why capitalism feels like crap and here are my collective findings.

This is a 5,000 word/24 page essay exploring the topic, supporting my theory, with thorough research and a list of all sources cited at the end. I created all of the illustrations myself, hand drawn, over the course of Fall of 2020.
