Vintage from the 1940s
Materials: mohair, thread, stuffing, velvet

Vintage Mohair Teddy Bear with jointed arms and legs in a bear brown color, golden brown eyes, and cream-colored mohair nose, circa the 1940s to 1950s. His little hand paws and the bottom of his feet are linen beige velvet. His neck also actually moves a bit from side to side. The mohair fur is long and thick and soft which makes us think he's ready for a long Winter nap. The expression on his adorable face makes us want to cuddle up with him for a nap ourselves.

We feel that he, or she, looks remarkably like one of the high dollar bears, especially since he is so nicely articulated, but alas this little charmer has lost his tag so we cannot be sure who made him. With the exception of a little wear on the back of one of his arms, he is in remarkably good vintage condition. Having most likely been greatly loved by a little child, he has just a tiny bit of shabbiness, but in very nice condition. Most likely stuffed with cotton. He is well stuffed.

Measures 14 inches tall.

He is cute as a BUTTON and has no odors. He looks adorable in a little wagon, on the back of a rocking horse, or just sitting on a shelf looking adorable!
