Hi! My name is Katy. I designed this cardigan pattern which is written in English using US crochet terms.

The design is simple so it's a great pattern to try as a first garment. There's very little shaping and seaming and the pattern uses basic stitches.

What you need to know:
Foundation single crochet
Double crochet
Single crochet
Working in the front loop only
Seaming

Materials:
Cascade 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool; 220 yd/200 m/ 3.5oz/100g; worsted/4 weight) 5(6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9) balls of Ridge Rock (874)

The multi-colored sample was done in a yarn that is no longer available. A good substitute would be Chroma Worsted from We Crochet.

Hook
H/5mm hook or hook to obtain gauge

Sizes:
The pattern is written for sizes XS(S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X)
to fit a bust of 28”(32”, 36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”).
Finished busts are 34”(38”, 42”, 46”, 50”, 54”, 58”)
I designed the cardigan to have 6″ of positive ease (so the actual cardigan is 6″ larger than the actual bust) with a 4″ overlap in the front.
There is a schematic included in the pattern to help you pick the best size for your body!
