What material are the vases made from?

Our 3D-printed vases are made from polylactide, or PLA for short, which is also commonly known as polylactic acid. PLA is often referred to as a “bioplastic”. It is made from lactic acid molecules created through the fermentation of renewable raw materials such as corn starch or sugar cane. While PLA is not a raw material like wood that can be processed directly, its bio-based composition makes it a more sustainable choice. Under the right conditions, it is biodegradable and offers a thoughtful alternative to conventional plastic.

Are the vases waterproof?

Due to the 3D printing process, the vases themselves are not waterproof, as water could escape through the fine pores of the vase. However, since a real vase should of course also be suitable for fresh flowers, we provide special waterproof inserts. One insert is included free of charge with every vase. The cylindrical insert can be placed inside the vase and easily filled with water. Before using the vase with water, please insert the waterproof insert first. If you only decorate the vase with dried flowers, you do not need it right away – but we recommend keeping it safe just in case.

Which vases are available?

There are 5 vase models available: from the classic spherical vase and the clean-lined bottle vase to more unusual vase shapes. Each vase is available in 3 sizes and 9 colors. You can choose your favorite shade from our trend colors or combine several vases and colors with one another. Additional colors are available at iconichome.com.

How large are the vases?

The vases are designed so that all models in the respective size category – small, medium or large – have a similar height. This makes them ideal for combining with one another in different sizes and colors. The sizes for orientation: Large vases: 32–38 cm high Medium vases: 26–32 cm high Small vases: 20–24 cm high

Thanks to the bio-based plastic used, the vases are very lightweight, even in the large size, and are also shatter-resistant. This is a clear advantage compared to vases made from glass or ceramic. Large vases: 750 g–1250 g Medium vases: 450 g–620 g Small vases: 180 g–325 g

Which temperatures are suitable for the vases?

Please do not expose the vase to excessively high temperatures, for example in direct sunlight behind a window. At temperatures above 40 °C, there is a risk that the material may become unstable and the vase could change shape. To test what can happen, we carried out an experiment with several vases over a few weeks during summer. We found that the vases can warp, although this does not happen in every case. Nevertheless, we recommend staying on the safe side and avoiding excessive heat.

How can the vases be cleaned?

ICONIC HOME vases should not be cleaned in the dishwasher or soaked in water. A little lukewarm water and a cloth are enough to gently wipe them clean. Dusting, for example with a clean makeup brush, or carefully vacuuming them with a handheld vacuum cleaner is also no problem. The transparent inner insert for fresh flowers, however, is waterproof and can be cleaned in the dishwasher at up to 65 °C.

The Sphere vase from ICONIC HOME captivates with its soft, spherical shape and harmonious silhouette. The round design appears modern, calm, and harmonious all at once.

It is ideal for dried flowers, pampas grass, individual branches, or fresh flower arrangements. Even without flowers, it is an eye-catcher. For use with fresh flowers, each vase comes with a custom-made waterproof liner.

The Sphere vase is also available as a room fragrance diffuser in two smaller sizes. This allows the vases to be arranged as a coordinated set.

THE PRODUCTION

The minimalist vase is 3D printed from PLA. The material is based on renewable resources, such as corn.

We use 100% green electricity for production.

The vase consists of up to 1,000 individual layers. These are printed layer by layer on top of each other until the finished vase is created.

Depending on the angle of the light, these layers and minimal irregularities may be visible. This is typical for 3D printing and makes each vase unique.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

Please note the following instructions to ensure you can enjoy your vase for a long time:

• Avoid temperatures above 40 °C
• Do not expose to direct sunlight
• Do not put the vase in the dishwasher
• Always use the supplied inner insert for fresh flowers

The included inner insert is waterproof and dishwasher safe up to 65 °C.

We use environmentally friendly packaging material. Shipping is climate-friendly via DHL GoGreen.
