EYE PILLOW:
To make a gift bundle, add the option for coordinating eye pillow in the drop-down menu. The eye pillow is generously sized at 9"x4" and is great for use as a cold pack in the mornings or for heated warmth to soothe headaches and stress.
SPECIFICATIONS:
These handmade wraps are made from soft and comfortable organic cotton fabric and measure 22" x 5". They're the perfect length to drape easily around the neck and stay in place over the shoulders.
My wraps and eye pillows are filled exclusively with organic flax seed and lavender flowers. The the filling is distributed along two sewn channels for even distribution across the upper and lower neck area. Weight is approximately 1.5 pounds.
FLAX SEED FILLING:
No rice! While rice is a cost-effective additive for many neck warmers, I use organic flax seed exclusively as it has the unique ability to retain moisture when heated. This can be particularly beneficial for heat therapy as it helps prevent the skin from becoming overly dry during prolonged use. No cooked rice smell is a bonus :-)
AROMATHERAPY:
As well as flax seed, I use organic lavender buds in my handmade neck wraps. Lavender is well-known for its calming and relaxing properties, and its scent can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, promoting a sense of calm and tranquility.
Need it unscented? You can choose Flax Seed or Flax Seed + Lavender filling as an option.
HOT OR COLD USE:
This versatile neck wrap can be heated in the microwave or chilled in the freezer, providing relief from muscle strains, tension headaches, neck arthritis, and stress.
To heat, place in microwave and heat in 30 second increments, up to 2 minutes. This is plenty of time for maximum warmth. As it cools (about 30 minutes later), you can re-heat again in 30 second increments. To avoid burns, DO NOT OVERHEAT.
To cool, place in freezer until pad reaches desired cooling temperature. Feels great on eyes/forehead for soothing inflammation and migraine headaches.
CARE:
Store neck wraps and eye pillows away from moisture, as this will damage the filling. Do not immerse in water. To clean, spot clean with damp cloth and allow to dry completely.
SAFETY PRECAUTION:
Please adhere to product instructions regarding microwave heating. Do not overheat or leave in microwave for a prolonged time - as burns in the heating pad can occur that will cause permanent damage to product. Overheating can also burn the skin when used.
