What exactly is vintage jewelry?

Vintage jewelry refers to jewelry that is at least 20 years old. Jewelry that was made between the 1920s and 2000s is considered vintage. Antique jewelry refers to jewelry that is at least 100 years old.

What is the difference between fine and costume jewelry?

Fine jewelry is made with precious metals, stones, and semi precious stones. Costume jewelry on the other hand, is made from non-precious materials such as base metals, glass, wood, and plastic.

What type of jewelry does Rosewing Vintage sell?

Rosewing Vintage sells a variety of vintage jewelry. I sell costume jewelry, gold, and silver. I also specialize in sterling silver charms and charm bracelets. The pieces that I sell have managed to survive many years essentially unscathed. They have successfully made it beyond old jewelry boxes and storage, and can now be shared with you.

It is important to take special care of your vintage jewelry. For costume jewelry, I recommend using a soft jewelry polishing cloth if you feel like your jewelry needs a little extra shine. Never submerge your jewelry in water as it could loosen glue that holds stones in place. It could also possibly damage the finish. A child's soft toothbrush could be used to gently remove stubborn spots. Sterling silver jewelry can be polished with a silver polishing cloth. The jewelry can also be cleaned with liquid silver cleaning products. Please note that liquid cleaning products will remove patina (the darkened spots that develop from age). If you prefer the aged appearance I recommend that you don't use liquid silver cleaning products.

Everything I sell is pre owned and vintage. Most items will show some miner signs of wear. Examples would be minor scratches, tarnishing, patina, scuffs, and dings. This is normal and should be expected with pre owned and vintage items. If there is a condition issue that goes beyond typical wear and age I will always add it to the description. Stamps/hallmarks- Unmarked but was created with a vintage sterling silver charm (acid tested) and 925 sterling silver gauge wire for the shank.

US size 8 (sizeable within reason by your local jeweller)

The face of the ring measures approximately 14 mm. The split shank tapers to 3mm wide.

Condition- This piece is in very good pre owned condition with only minor signs of age and wear.

This piece was converted from a charm to a ring by a professional silversmith and is rustic by design. Patina and imperfections are intentional.
