Specifications
Pretty little vintage ring box in a baby blue color, shaped like a heart, and with an Art Deco flair to the design elements. It’s made of plastic, and it’s possible it’s celluloid, but it seems a little thick to me for that. I’m guessing it dates to the 1930s or so. No jewelry inside. Printing on inside lid fabric shows it’s from Ralston’s Jewelry store in Weston, West Virginia, which started business in 1856. Lid is hinged. Plastic, fabric, metal. About 2 3/8” by 2.25” by 1.5” tall at widest areas.
CONDITION:
Some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and normal vintage soiling, etc.
• Some minor generalized surface scratches and scuffing.
• The main thing I notice is some small marks near the center that I could not wipe away. It seems permanent.
• Interior fabric worn where the ring used to be.
• Piece of fabric at the back of the inside is rather scrunched.
• Hinge seems in good condition.
• Opens/closes fine.
The box is empty.
Not for food use. Any props not included.
