Highlights
Super vibrant 1970s or early 1980s dress in a vivid purple with a splashy print in shades of yellow, hot pink, turquoise, blue and white.
* Voluminous balloon sleeves – much more striking on a person than my mannequin!
* High neckline at the front and a sexy low back with a faux-wrap crossover
* Sheer printed chiffon outer layer, fully lined with another layer of sheer chiffon in solid purple
* Skirt has an additional layer of solid purple opaque jersey fabric
* Elastic waist
* Original bias cut wide sash belt – very wide and long, see measurements!
* No closures, slips on over the head
Label: Only one, "Front" which is just inside the front neckline (intended to let you know that the wrap section goes at the back)
Material: No fabric content label but feels like polyester – washes well, dries quickly
Measurements – some flexibility with the wrap back and elastic waist
Bust 38" max, probably best for 36" or less
Waist 23" unstretched, stretches to at least 30"
Hips free
Sleeves 23"
Shoulder to waist 15.5"
Waist to hem 29"
Total length 44.5
Belt is 15" wide and 100" long
Dress is shown unpinned on my 34.5"/25.5" mannequin, for reference.
Condition: Great! Freshly hand washed and ready to wear. A few small repairs to the belt that have been done by hand, and one similar repair on the very top of one shoulder. A couple of extremely faint marks on the top layer of the dress only, near the bottom left hem – shown in last pic, but you can barely see them!
