Set of 50 pre-tabbed Heinz Natural Coreless cotton candle wicks available in 5 sizes CD-5, CD-6, CD-8, CD-10 and CD-12. Candle wick sizes from votive to mason jars & triple wick candles. These are our preferred wicks after trying many for our soy candles; they burn really clean without the carbon build up or mushrooming and they are self-trimming. Wicks are coreless, non-directional, flat braided natural cotton with special paper strands braided into the wicking and primed with a light paraffin wax coating. They are rigid enough to use for your container candles and in pillars too!

Recommended for candles made from:

It's important to use the correct match of wax type and candle size for choosing wick type and size. Check the measurements of your mold carefully prior to ordering. Note for beginners; you need extra estimated 1" wick height over the fill line of your mold to hold the wick center with either wick clips or popsicle sticks. Easy to cut wicks either before or after making for shorter molds.

Q: How do these compare to other wicks?
A: Sorry we cannot answer this question as there are too many on the market to compare to. We've tried many but have only used these for years since we're very happy with EcoSoya CB-Xcel 100% Soy Container Wax, Golden Brand LP-402 and GW-464 used per recommended sizes posted. Unfortunately there is not a wick available that is good for every application so you will need different wick sizes for different size and types of candles. The addition of scent and color to your wax will affect the way the candle burns. If your wick extinguishes itself and will not burn; use a larger size. If your wick burns hot, flame is high, is sooty, mushrooms or needs to be trimmed frequently; use a smaller size.
