Vintage jeans always run smaller and have no stretch. Please do not assume your normal size! Jeans from the 70s and early 80s in particular have relatively narrow hips compared to the waist size.

It is therefore very important to pay attention to waist size, waist height and hips. If the waist height changes, the waist size also changes.
