It is best to wash it by hand in cold or lukewarm water. You can also wash it in the washing machine on a gentle program. Use a mild detergent or soap. Do not use bleach or any harsh chemicals, as they can damage the fabric and colors. Before washing, tie the fringes together to prevent them from getting tangled. After washing, lay the rebozo flat on a clean towel and gently roll it up to absorb excess water. Then hang it to air dry in a shaded area to prevent fading and shrinking. Avoid drying the rebozo in direct sunlight, as it may cause the colors to fade over time. If necessary, you can iron the rebozo on a low or delicate setting. Place a thin cloth or pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect it.
