My paintings are often inspired by my life, especially memories from my childhood and family. “Bageecha,” my latest piece, draws inspiration from the garden at my childhood home(now much smaller though). I have fond memories of playing there with friends, helping my grandma pick flowers for pooja, and learning about new plants and bird species from my father. And now, I love playing with my son and teaching him about plants when we visit. The greenery and bird sounds outside my grandma’s room window( now my mum’s), always bring back so many beautiful memories.

This particular piece is inspired by the winter holidays, a time when my mom would spread out a mat, and we’d sit together basking in the gentle winter sunlight, reading…
