I put this on a 16 ga adjustable ring shank.
This setting is one I devised to take to a show where they needed to be quick, easy and on the fly.
It wraps tightly and instantly with a pair of pliers. You can put pretty much any shape stone in it and the sizes can vary widely too. I'll send instructions.
This one is for fairly large stones. Note the size of the stone if you like - to be sure it will fit.
The last picture is of one that is a customer photo of an extra large. Please note: That is the shape they come to you in. I can't bend them to fit your stones without having the stone to form it around.
The beautifully mounted moonstone (on the hand) is the genius of Jenn from AnniesMetalPetalz.etsy.com - She graciously allowed me to use her photo to demonstrate her clever use of the setting.
The last picture is from a customer. It shows the setting from the inside.
The other pictures of the oval ones are just there to show you how it works. The two turquoise stones shown are 25x18 and about 31x15mm. The upside down one is also shown with the wrong side of the setting out (UGLY SIDE OUT) so you can see the "inside" too and that you can tuck most any shape into this. The one in the picture is all the same setting and I didn't tighten the wires down completely because I wanted to change it over and over for these pictures.
I don't use the oval pad anymore. I am using the round one like the one shown on the ring shank and larger.
I found them to be the handiest I had ever taken with me! I made them in several sizes. I put ring shanks on some, and put bales on others for pendants. I made little ones with jumps on them for earrings.
The base on the one shown in some of these pictures is 15x20. I now make them with round pads instead. they are more versatile. I make smaller ones too. Very handy!
Please do ask any questions and convo anytime!
