All of my pieces are baked at the ideal temperature for the correct amount of time so that they are very sturdy. The berries that are attached to leaves on some of my necklaces are baked onto the leaves for a super strong bond. I feel very confident about sending my items through the mail but I always package everything carefully just in case. Yes and no. All blueberries are made using the same clay recipe so they are all the same shade of blue. Size depends on the piece - stud earrings are smaller than the berries on the bracelet. Each berry is made by hand with care and attention so they are all just a little bit unique. I make earring berries in batches so that I can match up the pairs to be nearly identical. Special attention is given to the star shape on the bracelet berries to ensure the edges are extra smooth for comfort.

The colour of my blueberries is designed to resemble wild blueberries as much as possible. They have a silvery hue which mimics the whitish dust (called bloom) that covers wild blueberries before they are picked. If you've ever picked wild blueberries you will be familiar with this since it doesn't take much to rub it off and then the blueberries change to a much darker colour. My blueberries don't change colour (they are glazed) however they do sometimes look very different depending on the lighting. Some lighting brings out more of the silver tones while natural light really brings out the blue. It's tricky photographing my items because of this! I've tried to use natural light as much as possible in my photography.
