This fox print portrays a Victorian-style anthropomorphic fox in an embroidered gentleman's coat and floral top hat, surrounded by roses and leafy branches.

In "Fox in Velvet and Rose," the fox stands with quiet confidence in an elaborate dark teal coat, brocade waistcoat, white cravat and flower-trimmed black top hat. Fine gold embroidery, tiny floral details and jewel-like buttons give the costume an unusually ornate character, while muted roses and foliage soften the shadowed background.

The formal pose and richly dressed figure give the piece the feeling of an eccentric Victorian society portrait, but the woodland subject shifts it firmly into whimsical animal and storybook territory. The combination of natural fox features with highly detailed human clothing creates the slightly strange, dignified character that makes anthropomorphic art so appealing.

It works particularly well for fox lovers, eclectic gallery walls, reading rooms, studies and interiors that mix Victorian decor with whimsical or maximalist artwork. The floral detailing also gives the portrait enough softness to work outside darker animal-art collections.

Printed on high-quality archival fine art paper and available in matte or satin finish. The matte finish gives a softer, more muted look with reduced glare, while the satin finish adds gentle sheen and slightly richer colours, allowing details and highlights to stand out more clearly.
