The Summer Jam at Watkins Glen was a July 1973 rock festival outside Watkins Glen, NY that featured the Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead, and the Band. 150,000 tickets were sold in advance but 600,000 people showed up therefore making it a free concert. That is nearly twice the amount of people that showed up to Woodstock a few years prior...
