Your order will be carefully wrapped in natural material (white or Kraft) with a botanical label and accompanied by a card explaining its making.
A new limited series of 4 sari silk ribbons in graded tones. They are 100% silk ribbons made from recycled sari scraps that I have hand dyed with plants in my little workshop in the South of France.
They are perfect to add a chic touch to place cards, invitations, gift wrapping, for scrapbooking and junk journals, tassel making and to incorporate into any creative project you wish ;)
You will receive 4 ribbons, each with a length between 0,8 and 1 m (about 1y). The ironed width is about 2,5 cm (1") - please see pictures - with raw edges. They will be sent unpressed and wrapped on a card. Please choose the set your prefer:
#1 Jardin Anglais: pale cream, blue, yellow, ocher
#2 Beautiful Beige: off white, cream, rosy beige, pastel toffee
#3 Aquarelle: pale green, blue, mauve, rose
#4 La Vie en Rose: rose, mauve, pale rose, rosy beige
Please note that these ribbons are much more irregular in texture (from raw matte silk to fine shiny silk), size and color - sometimes with irregularities, marks of other color. In fact they are all different, with variations giving them a faded "vintage" feel.
When these ribbons are delivered to me they are all tangled up and sometimes sewn with thick dark colored threads. I wash, untangle and trim them, iron them, remove the dark threads, sort them according to texture and then dye them in 4 different plant baths. After they are rinsed and dried, they are rolled on small handmade cards. You can use them as they are or iron them with a little steam, if you wish.

I have a collection of antique paintings, cross stitches and embroideries, some whose frames only have a small hook at the back that fits a nail. I live in a rental and can't ruin the walls so I wanted to use ribbon and command hooks to hang up my art. This fits perfectly with my vintage/antique vibe in my home.
