Jesus Christ original Greek Byzantine Orthodox icon painting on 30x40cm (11.8x15.75 inches) stretched canvas.

This beautiful Jesus icon is entirely hand painted on high quality stretched canvas, by acrylic paints. It is a unique piece of religious art, in the traditional Greek byzantine icon art.

You may order this icon to be painted as a mural on non-stretced canvas of any dimensions, in order to be mounted on the wall of a church. Please contact me for time processing and price.
It will then be packed in a strong PVC tube to ensure that the painting reaches the customer in perfect condition.

⌘ AUTHENTICITY CERTIFICATE: I have a 1-2 weeks turnaround on order fulfillment. Here is the process: As soon as I receive your order, the icon is taken in subject to the Greek Cultural Ministry, at the Byzantine Archaelogy Department. There it will be checked by the experts and certified as a temporary original piece of art in order to be legally exported from Greece. They will stamp the icon on the backside and publish a formal certification about its authenticity, that will accompany the icon to you.

Every icon of this section in my shop is painted by hand according to the old Cretan byzantine art technique. The natural materials used, are sensitive to humidity, great heat, extreme light, and any cleaning chemicals. So please keep your icon on a dry surface, not directly exposed to plenty sun light and use a soft clean fabric to remove the dust.

I commissioned an icon of St. Tikhon for a friend, and the result was amazing. He absolutely loved it, as did I. The colors were so rich and beautiful, and the icon stood out from the rest of his icons. It is truly amazing the impact that a handmade icon can have in a prayer corner. This icon of Theotokos with Christ is amazing. It is a smaller size, but the quality was phenomenal. The board is solid hardwood, and the finish seems sturdy. I am very pleased with this purchase!
