Jewelry inspiration :
All my pieces, or almost, are inspired by the sea life. To bring up this collection, I've mold a piece of stingray leather, which has a really special texture. Once casted in sterling silver, the result is stunning: the textured metal is sparkling!
The earring is 6mm large, and 14mm in diameter. They are light and very comfortable to wear. Classy and minimalists, they will be a beautiful compliment to your style, either it is for everyday use, or a special occasion.
Jewelry making
As mentioned before, I make a mold from stingray fish leather, to use it as a texture sample. Once it is cast in sterling silver (also known as 925 silver), I cut it into pieces, which I form using mandrels and hammers. I solder the ear posts to the earrings, polish them, and they are ready to go!
Shipping
The earrings are placed in a cute Kraft gift box wrapped with ribbon, which keeps them secured during the transport. A postcard with my artist statement accompanies the gift box. Also, all parcels coming out from the studio do not show any mention about jewelry, as we don’t want to attract ill-intentioned eyes! The fabrication time is usually around 2 open days (unless otherwise specified), while the shipping time depends from the final destination, going from 1 to 10 open days).
Jewelry studio
All jewelry is handmade in my studio, on the south shore of Montreal. The materials I basically use precious metal, such as sterling silver and gold. I also love to add freshwater pearls!
Nature is an infinite source of inspiration for my work. You’ll see it through the sinuous curves and textures in my jewellery.
