Simple and elegant, the 海霞紅 / HAI XIA HONG / AQUARELLE set may only include two pieces, but the mountains-and-river satin material does not lack for quality. This modified Song Dynasty hanyuansu set is perfect for those looking to wear more subtle-looking hanfu that can be mixed and matched with modern clothing or even passed as normal clothing with a unique design.

This is a two piece set consisting of the following:

飛機袖短衫/FEIJIXIU DUANSHAN/TOP
The feijixiu makes up the top of this set, made with a luxurious damask satin with mountain and tree patterns derived from Chinese painting styles, imitating the look of damask silk. Referenced off of the 窄袖短衫 (zhai3 xiu4 duan3 shan1), or narrow-sleeved short top, we often call this kind of sleeve that narrows from shoulder to cuff feijixiu or airplane sleeves because it looks like an airplane when spread out.

Note: This feijixiu features a duichuanjiao design, meaning that the construction of the collar is parallel, but it’s meant to be worn crossed, a common trend for women in the Song Dynasty. We've added some ties to make that easier.

褶裙/ZHEQUN/SKIRT
Slightly modified from the Song Dynasty 百迭裙，which is essentially the same skirt with thinner pleats and a flat unpleated part, this simple pleated wrap skirt complements the rich red top with skirt ribbons made of the same fabric. Also features two hidden side pockets.
