Bears are made to order in natural or black. If more than one bear in the same color is desired, or color of choice is sold out, please contact me for a custom order.
Made to order bears can be stuffed with your choice of organic cotton, kapok or wool...
The wool I use is natural and processed without the use of chemicals, therefore it cannot be washed in a washing machine. Bears stuffed with wool can be spot cleaned with a cotton cloth and natural soap. Airing in the sun is reccomended.
Wash bears stuffed with organic cotton or kapok in a knotted pillowcase and tumble dried.
Eyes are embroidered with a single French knot. Nose is sewn on by hand and made from organic flannel.
Fabric is washed once before sewing to reduce shedding.
If desired, for an adult or older child, safety eyes and or noses or antique shoe button eyes (black or brown as shown in last picture) can be used instead of embroidered eyes.
Kapok:
Sustainable Harvesting: Kapok trees are not typically cut down for harvesting, making it a renewable resource.
Minimal Processing: Kapok requires little to no processing or chemical treatments.
Low Environmental Impact: It requires very little water or pesticides to grow.

While organic cotton uses less water than conventional cotton, it still requires a significant amount of water for cultivation.
