We are a family owned business, that directly supervises our duvet production from the very beginning to the very end in our workshop. This three-step process starts with washing the wool in a natural and ecological detergent. After washing, the wool is carded on our carding machine and finally hand-quilting. Our unique making process leads to the creation of the high quality breathable alpaca wool duvet.
So what is alpaca wool?
Alpaca wool is composed of alpaca fibers, which are known to be the most luxurious in the world. It is also hypoallergenic since it doesn't contain lanolin(so called wool wax, that attracts dust mites) thereby makes it perfect for people who suffer from allergies and asthma. Alpaca wool enables human skin to breath; it absorbs moisture from the body and releases it into the air, keeping the body warm and dry during sleep. It also exhibits natural thermoregulation properties, the same properties that thermoregulate alpacas in their natural habitat, which makes it perfect for hot sleepers.
