Cute very late 1970s early 1980s purse: Purse has never been used, outer is made from a red nylon that's slightly textured, trimmed in a light tan faux leather, adjustable shoulder strap, purse has one main compartment, sides of the purse have zip up side pockets, purse is lined.

If a size tag exists on a garment, the listing will reflect that size. Some items may be marked, for example, a medium but if it feels to run large or small, it will be noted in the listing.

Numbered garment sizes prior to the 1980s are different from the sizing we use today:

A vintage garment marked a size 8 is about modern-day extra small or size 0-2. Followed by:

Vintage size 10--XS-Small or a size 2-4.
Vintage size 12--Small or a size 4.
Vintage size 14--Medium or a size 4-6.
Vintage size 16--Medium-Large or a size 6-8.
Vintage size 18--Large- Extra Large or a size 10-12.
Vintage sizes 20 and up are Extra Large or Plus size.

Granted this is just an estimate but if you see these numbers and wonder why is a size 14 is a medium, just remember that the sizing system for women's clothing had an update sometime in the mid-1980s.
