With an exotic tone to them, these hand-dyed, brick red, silk cocoon earrings are embellished with upcycled beads of silver, brass, black and brick red. They are finished with silver & gold toned findings. Silk cocoons once had silkworms in them; these have been bleached after the worm was removed. The cocoons are normally spun out to create silk threads up to a mile long! I apply dye to the cocoon and then embellish it with beads and jewelry findings. OOAK and very lightweight.
