****** WRIST measurements for bracelets ******
It is extremely important that you send your exact WRIST measurement.
Do NOT send the measurement of another bracelet.
Do NOT add extra to your wrist measurement and state that it is your exact wrist measurement.
If you want a loose or tight bracelet, send your wrist measurement and request that you would like the bracelet to be a loose or tight fit.
I make the bracelets based on your wrist measurement. Bracelet sizes vary according to the materials used. The larger the bead, the longer the bracelet, and the smaller the bead, the shorter the bracelet - but the circumference will be the same for both bracelets. That circumference is your wrist measurement.
This is why it is important that you send your exact wrist measurement. If you add extra to the measurement, the bracelet will be too big. If you subtract from the measurement, the bracelet will be too small.
Refunds will not be made, and remaking will not be done if you have sent a measurement that is not your exact wrist measurement
***** Necklace measurements *****
If you wish to have a custom-made necklace, you need to send the measurement for the length of the necklace. This would be the total measurement from tip to tip including the clasp.
**** Jewelry care ****
"Jewels are the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off"; please wear, handle and store jewelry with care.
Pearls especially do not like sweat, perfume, cologne, water or lotions.
The non-glazed ceramic beads should not be soaked in any liquids, in addition to decreasing their durability, they will lose their color.
Silver and brass tend to tarnish (darken) with age. You can polish them with a jeweler's cloth.
Wooden beads lighten gracefully as they age, they also take in water and lotions easily. Water, sun and lotions increase the aging process.
Leather should not be soaked in water, liquids or chemicals. You should also not let leather dry out. Colored leather straps will reveal a lighter leather color beneath as they age with wear.
Elastic threads do not like being under direct sunlight, or soaked in water or chemicals (lotions, scents, creams, etc), as they will weaken.
When wearing bracelets that have elastic threads, do not yank or pull the bracelet. When putting on a bracelet that has an elastic thread, roll it over your hand onto/off your wrist when putting it on and taking it off. Please note that elastic threads do stretch over time.
*** Natural materials: leather, bone, shell and wood ***
The leather I use are not made from endangered species. The bone beads I use are not made from endangered species. The shell beads I use are not made from endangered species. The wood beads I use are not made from endangered wood.
** Antique and vintage beads **
I use both used and never before used (= wrapped in the original sales package) antique and vintage beads. Antique and vintage glass beads were made using several different methods. One method was to color the inside of the bead and not the glass itself. This means that over time the color has, or will, faded. The fading of the color does not mean that they are not antique or vintage.
