A curated collection of six equestrian portraits from the late 1800s.
Highly detailed reproductions of vintage lithographs in classic black and white. These prints work beautifully on their own or when hung in sets of two or three.

Sporting art emerged to document the rural sports of fox hunting, horse racing, and game shooting, popularized in 18th and 19th century England. As horse racing started to grow into a socially prestigious sport, artists were commissioned to depict race events and create portraits of the successful horses that ran in them. These paintings would often hang in the owner's country house, either in the entrance hall or in 'sporting halls' where meals were eaten before and after the hunt.
