Can I return a purchase for a refund?

Yes, if you let the shop know within 3 calendar days of arrival and ship it back within 14 calendar days of receipt. You must cover the appropriate shipping charge and return it in the condition that it arrived. If it was initially shipped with insurance coverage, you must insure it for the same amount on return. The full purchase price of the item plus any tax will then be refunded upon receipt. If any damage is noted on return, the refund amount will be reduced based on its adjusted value. How do you handle purchases damaged during shipping?

If a purchase arrives damaged due to shipping, the buyer must take detailed photos of the damage and send these along with notification to the shop within 3 calendar days of delivery. Any insurance claim requests must be promptly responded to. We will then partially or fully refund the cost of the item within 14 calendar days, based on the particular circumstances and photos taken, along with the shipping charge and any tax paid by the buyer.

Beautiful and petite, measuring just 4 1/8" tall x 2" wide, this turquoise hand-painted vase with a picture of a Victorian boy holding flowers behind his back would make a lovely and thoughtful Christmas gift. This gem weighs 4 3/4 oz and is supported by 5 amber-colored glass feet.

It is especially hard to date Mary Gregory-style glass, and this piece is no exception. We are not an authority on this subject, but after some online research, we suspect that this piece probably dates from just prior to World War 2 and hails from either Bohemia or Czechoslovakia. A number of subtle "clues", when taken together, guide in determining the age of a Mary Gregory piece, and divide into "new" (post-war) and old (pre-war). In this case, the turquoise color, the child's larger-proportioned head and arm length, wear on the bottom of the feet and on the gold-colored top rim, and the "double-fired" white enamel paint lines all argue this being a pre-war vase. The bottom of the piece is difficult to evaluate because of the shadow projected by the feet, but we believe a pontil line is present, suggesting this was hand-blown during the earlier era. Other factors suggesting an older age include the higher number of tiny glass defects/bubbles, as well as a few fine scratches and rub marks. Absolutely no cracks or chips.

This gorgeous and collectible piece is especially lovely when sunlight shines through the vintage turquoise glass! Perfectly suited for a display case or window box.
