Built in 1969, this Smith Corona Super Sterling typewriter is an excellent example of the reliable portable typewriters of this era. The green color typewriter takes you back to the late 1960's and early 1970's. The Super Sterling was a full featured model that was built to last. Mechanically, this typewriter is in great shape. The keys strike freely with no signs of sticking. The color ribbon selector, back space, and margin bell are working as they should. When using the tab, the carriage should be slowed by hand to correctly catch the tab stop that is set, but that is functional and isn't used too much by most users. A new ribbon was just put on this typewriter and is ready to go for you.

Cosmetically, this typewriter in great shape as well. The paint on the typewriter is in great shape without any major or scratches or scuffs that I noticed. The typewriter has some dust in the hard to reach and see areas, but nothing that affects the performance of the typewriter.
