** About this tool and the makers behind it **

Made in Brisbane/Meanjin, Australia by me, Juni, an aerospace engineer turned potter.

We potters love our tools, and one of my favourite tools to use is a really good, sharp trimming tool. When I first tried tungsten carbide tools on my porcelain pieces, I was so surprised and delighted with how effective and precise I was able to trim, thanks to the hardness and sharpness of the tungsten carbide material. When my family moved back to Australia from the USA I was disappointed to not be able to find a local tungsten carbide tool supplier. That's what motivated me to make my own tungsten carbide tools, starting with the classic 'D' or teardrop shape that seems to be the most versatile. I use this tool in my own pottery practice to turn my wheel thrown porcelain pieces.

My small business is about exactly what it's name implies: really good, useful, quality made clay tools for the everyday potter.

This has become my favourite trimming tool. Very rarely do I have to search for another to suit the trimming required. It seems perfectly weighted making it effortless to control. Extremely easy to clean and stays super sharp. Love it.
