Handmade mug made from stoneware clay, hand built and fired by me in my home studio in Northern California.

It measures approx. 4" tall and approx. 3 1/2" wide & holds approx. 13-14 oz. of liquid to the rim.

I darted the mug for some curve under the handle & gave it a little belly. The of the tree's are hand carved primitive trees all around the mug & the mug was left unglazed around for a warm earthy feel.

The trees were glazed with a black ceramic wash and wiped back giving them a silhouette effect.
The glaze around the rim and inside was applied thick & painted on to resemble the sky at dusk - using layers of serveral colors for a pretty drippy effect - bottom signed.

I also added a carved full yellow moon on one side, with dots of white mimicing snow all around the mug.

Perfect cabin mug or mug for mountain/forest lovers :)

All of the glazes used are lead free/food safe-dishwasher and microwave safe as well.
