Both of us have these yoga mats and we love them! The grip is amazing and the feel of the fabric under your feet is just fabulous. The fact that they are eco, natural and ethical ticks all the boxes. There are various colours to choose from.

The jute is woven specially for the ecoYoga mat. The process of application allows for the full characteristic nature of the jute material to be expressed; encased in a unique 100% natural rubber blend. Excellent for any style of yoga practice. The warp and weft of jute chosen for the design of our mats is open. Due to this and the nature of the natural materials, there may be small specs of the jute showing on the mat surface, random anomalies of loose threads and nubs which gives these mats more character.
EcoYoga Mats have a pure rubber underside to grip the floor and jute fabric/rubber mix on top. The fabric gives a highly durable, tactile and pleasantly natural surface to work on and the rubber gives superb grip. A mat ideal for all Yogis and Yoginis as the Jute mat combines a cloth surface and sticky mat in one.

The Original Eco Yoga Mat is simply one of the best and most earth-conscious yoga mats available today. The Original Eco Mat is composed exclusively of all-natural rubber and jute fibre. There are no chemical additives used. It is excellent for any consistent practice of Yoga. Its rubber underside grips the floor while the jute fabric/rubber mix on top offers superb traction - even in a heavy sweat. It is a highly durable, tactile, and pleasantly natural surface to practice on.

Due to these mats being ecoYoga Mats, they show signs of wear and tear quicker than traditional PVC, or other rubber yoga mats on the market.
This is simply due to the manufacturing process and the materials used. No binders, metals or PVC foamers are used to provide longevity or durability to the UK made ecoYoga mats. Hence they will break down and show signs of wear faster than other mats on the market.
They are loved all over the world for these reasons as well as their fantastic grip. They are truly the most ethical and eco friendly ecoYoga mats on the market.

I’ve tried the mat a few times for yoga and Pilates and am loving it. About the odour: I really didn’t notice much off a smell (and I’m very sensitive!) but left it at the balcony to air for a day or two anyways.
