Are these maps raised relief or 3D printed?

No. Each map is a flat 2D print on paper. The depth you see comes from light and shadow painted into the artwork itself, nothing on the paper is raised or embossed.

Can I request a custom map or a different size?

Yes. Custom maps of any region, other sizes and alternative colourways are available. Message me here on Etsy with what you have in mind.

What if my order arrives damaged or is returned to sender?

Damaged: message me on Etsy with a photo and I will make it right: a replacement at no cost to you, print or frame. Please report it within 30 days of delivery. Returned to sender: check the address you entered at checkout and message me. If it was wrong, I can quote you for reshipping. If it was correct and delivery still failed, tell me and I will sort it out.

How long does shipping take, and will I pay customs?

Every map is made to order. Print Only orders are dispatched in 3 to 5 business days, framed orders take a few days longer. The estimated arrival window for your address is shown on the listing before you buy, and tracking is sent when it ships. Print Only ships rolled in a rigid protective tube. US and EU orders, print or framed, are printed and shipped inside your own region, so there is nothing to pay at the door. Orders outside the US and EU may be subject to local import fees.

What paper and ink do you use?

Museum grade giclee print on premium matte paper with pigment ink. Colours sit rich, deep and glare free. A small number of listings also offer a choice between Matte Poster Paper (192 gsm) and Fine Art Matte Paper (300 gsm, slightly textured).

What are the frame options?

Most maps come as Print Only or framed in Black, White, Light Wood, Vintage Bronze or Retro Gold. A framed map has the same museum grade print inside, a plexiglass front, a backing board and hanging hardware, and arrives fully assembled, ready to hang. The largest sizes ship as Print Only. Room and frame photos are digital mockups made to show scale and colour. The frame you receive is a real moulding in the colour you choose, and wood grain and tone vary a little from piece to piece.

Highlights

Designed by Kuzeyoku
Materials: Giclée Print on Fine Art Matt Paper, Premium Matte Photo Paper

We present to you The Agricultural Map of Tennessee published in 1896, which we have redesigned by adding current topographic elevations and lighting. Digitally created and rendered based on contemporary elevation data, our map reflects dramatic landforms and striking highlights/shadows, bringing the charm of the past into the present.

Perfect for framing and displaying in your home or office, a unique addition to any space.

These maps are digitally rendered topographies that have 3D effects, realistic shading, and very detailed features on 2D prints. They are not 3D-raised relief maps (printed on paper). Multi-resolution elevation datasets; Digital Elevation Models (DEM) coverage of Earth is used as bare earth to create these maps. Mainly SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) data is processed and rendered based on its elevation profile.

-A map of any place in the world you want can be produced. Please contact us for the map you would like to produce.

-Prints are available in various sizes. Please contact us if you have a request for a Custom Size.

-Maps are unframed and are shipped in thick and durable tubes. Framed product photos are for illustration purposes only.

-These maps are decorative maps and designed for a nice view on your wall, not for study or technical use. Small texts in high mountainous and shaded areas may not be readable. The readability of the small texts also varies depending on the print size. Our store does not guarantee the readability of all texts on the prints. Large-size prints will give the most magnificent and satisfying result on your wall. Please contact us via message in order to get to know the most suitable size for the legibility of the texts on the map.
