The Kathryn | Custom Solid Wood Record Console with Turntable Lid

Inspired by classic elegance and designed for modern vinyl collectors, The Kathryn is a bespoke solid wood media console that blends symmetry, craftsmanship, and thoughtful functionality. Named after Kathryn Crosby, wife of the iconic Bing Crosby, this handcrafted console echoes the sophistication of its namesake while offering a practical, heirloom-quality solution for media storage.

Modeled after our flagship Crosby console, The Kathryn features a more symmetrical design—ideal for those who appreciate visual balance and refined minimalism. The center bay houses a turntable compartment with a bi-fold lift lid, supported by a soft-close stay hinge to minimize vibration and ensure smooth, quiet operation. Beneath the turntable is a dedicated component bay concealed by double swing doors. On either side, spacious storage bays offer room for vinyl records, books, or media components—each hidden behind matching swing doors for a clean, uninterrupted look.

Materials & Craftsmanship
Each piece is handmade to order in our Texas workshop using only the top 5% of FSC-certified lumber sourced from our local hardwood suppliers. Shown here in Black Walnut, the console is also available in:
• American Cherry
• Rift Sawn White Oak
• Mahogany

All of our consoles are made entirely out of solid wood with the exception of the back panel, which is made from a high caliber veneered plywood for enhanced structure and durability across changing climates. The entire piece is hand-finished with multiple coats of hard-wax oil for a smooth, rich surface that resists everyday wear while highlighting the wood’s natural character.

Once your order is placed and we commence construction, you'll receive a private Google Drive album to follow your piece’s progress—from the raw lumber selection to final finishing. We’ll provide photo updates at key stages so you can watch your piece come to life in real time.
