This charming mushroom brooch has a subtle mixed metal design in goldtone and silvertone. The mushroom is nicely detailed throughout, including inside the mushroom cap and on the bottom of the stem. The brooch measures about 1 3/4" x 1 3/4". It is signed "NAPIER" on the back with a copyright symbol. This particular design has been identified as being from Eugene Bertolli. Bertolli worked for the company for almost 40 years.

Condition is excellent with no major issues to note. The rolling bar clasp is secure.

I know that testing is important to people who collect vintage plastics, and I want you to feel you can shop with confidence in my shop. But as someone who worked for many years in museum collections, preservation of these often delicate items is equally important to me.

I always Simichrome test Bakelite when it is safe to do so, but I don't bother using chemicals on items that are clearly molded plastic, celluloid, etc. I also will not Simichrome test a resin washed Bakelite piece if there is a risk of damaging the item. In those cases, I will hot water/touch test the piece to identify it. If you ever have questions about a specific item, please feel free to ask!

I will ship your order within two business days. All items are packed with care and shipped via USPS First Class or First Class International. U.S. buyers can also choose a Priority (3 day) or Priority Express (2 day) when checking out. International buyers can select Priority Mail International (6-10 business days) for an additional fee as well.
