I offer most of my images as white background JPGs (exceptions to this will be obvious by the preview images) as much of my work is in a Watercolour style. This results in parts of the image being transparent and when the background is removed the transparent parts of the image could also be affected. For example, a petal of a flower that appears white may actually have transparent parts that when placed on a different coloured background will change colour and look strange and out of place. There are many online solutions, that can remove backgrounds, simply and for free.
