Can I get the leather dog collar wet?

Yes, the leather and dye tolerate exposure to water well, however, frequent submersion in water will ruin the leather and hardware. Leather collars are not a good match for swimmers.

Collars are shipped to buckle at the center most hole. This will give you two inches of adjustment up or down on a 1” wide strap collar. The 3/4" wide strap have buckle holes 3/4” apart offering 1.5” adjustment up or down. If you prefer different sizing, please select a size that will work for how you like the collar to fit.

To clean wipe with a damp cloth.

Will the color of the collar come off on my dogs fur?

No. The collars that I dye will not transfer color to fur or skin. I have tested by submerging the collar in water for hours. I have not had any complaints regarding this problem. The dye is very stable.

This 1 3/4” scalloped edge round leather tag comes in a vegetable tanned leather or chrome tanned leather and is approximately a 3oz/1.19 mm weight. Chrome Tanned leather is real leather that has undergone a different tanning process. Chrome tan offers vibrant colored leather and unique textures, but is not suitable for stamping. It is also an incredibly soft and pliable leather. Chrome tan is pre-colored and doesn’t require dye. Dye is stable an won’t transfer to surrounding surfaces.

Vegetable Tanned leather makes a great round leather blank ready for your custom dye or stamped leather tag.

You can order your leather circle with a hole in the top or middle of the round.
