What are floating charms?

Floating Charms are small charms designed and made to go inside hollow glass lockets. They "float" inside the locket. They do not have holes, like pendants, that will attach to a chain by itself. However, many people also use them for crafts or to make other types of jewelry. Some floating charms are double sided, but most are flat and plain on the back side. Charm sizes vary, and could be anywhere from 2mm to 15mm. Please contact me if there are any size questions for specific charms.

How many charms will fit in my locket?

While the amount of charms will vary, depending on the charm, these are some general guidelines. Small (20mm) - 1-3 charms Medium (25mm) - 4-7 charms Large (30mm) - 7-12 charms X Large (35mm) - 12-16 charms XX Large (38mm) - 15-19 charms The size of the actual charms chosen will directly impact the amount of charms that will fit inside a locket. If you have charms and a locket in mind, I would be happy to put them together and send you a picture so you can see how it looks before you purchase.

How do I open my locket?

Most of my round lockets have a screw top face. They open by turning the face of the locket counter clockwise & require very little force to open. If it doesn't turn easily, don't force it. Turn the locket over & re-try, it should open easily. My larger round & shape lockets have a magnet snap closure. They have an indented ledge on the right side. You can insert your fingernail to separate the magnets. If you have any difficulty please reach out I'll be happy to help. Never use the top loop as leverage to open the locket. It's only meant to hold the locket & the charms inside. Using it for any other purpose will cause the weld to weaken & could result in the loop separating from the locket. This is not a defect or manufacturing flaw.

* Lockets should not be worn while bathing or swimming. * Clean by rubbing with a soft dry cloth, do not use chemicals. * It is recommended that you store your locket in something like a jewelry box. * Lockets are not extremely fragile, but they are made of glass, so if they drop or get hit against a hard surface they could break. Care should be taken to avoid such impact. * Magnet snap lockets should not be forced to open further than normal. This could cause the locket not to close correctly and could result in it opening while in use resulting in lost charms. *Screw top lockets should be screwed on securely but not over tightened. Over tightening the lockets could cause it to stick and unable to be opened.

Do you provide discounts for large purchases?

The stock I have available in the shop is based on customer demand so I normally do not have enough stock that would allow me to offer wholesale discounts. However, I do offer several sales throughout the year and send coupon codes in every order confirmation. How often do you get new products?

I am constantly on the lookout for new items to list in the shop and update my items frequently. If you have any suggestions or are looking for something specific and don't see it already listed, please send me a message and I will do my best to get it in stock.

The lockets with charms contain small parts and should not be given to or handled by small children. The charms could present a choking hazard if swallowed.

Will a floating locket hold a cruise medallion?

No, the lockets I carry in my shop are not big enough to accommodate a cruise medallion.
