SP4B/SP5B Easy Build Clock Parts Kit

This kit includes all the non-printed parts for the SP4B "Large Easy Build Clock with 21 day Runtime" or the SP5B "32 Day Clock Easy Build" except for the weights. The kit includes the extra bearings and arbors used in the updated designs.

Both clocks use a similar set of parts so one kit can be used for either clock. There will be additional spare parts if you are building SP4 or SP5.

The kit contains all the parts shown in the pictures with a few spares where appropriate.
The metal arbors have been cut to length and deburred.
The flat for the minute hand has been machined.
The bearings have been cleaned and are ready to install. A spare 623 bearing is included.
One heavy spring is perfect for the friction clutch.
The three smaller springs plus a spare are for the ratchet.
Drill bits for properly sizing the arbor holes are included.

You will need to provide lead or steel shot (BBs) for the weight shell plus pennies or small washers for the pendulum bob.
A few small hand tools may be helpful, including a Phillips head screwdriver, hand files or sandpaper, and a pin vise for the drill bits.

2 #8x1-1/2" or #8x1-1/4" pan head screws for hanging the clock
8 M3x8mm socket head screws used with the Rev 2 and SP5B updates
1 2.5mm hex key for the M3x8mm screws
7 pieces of 3mm stainless rod cut to length
3 pieces of 1.5mm music wire cut to length (one spare)
1 1/16" drill bit
1 1/8" drill bit
5 pen springs (one spare)
9 623 bearings (one to four spare)
12' (3.6m) fishing line
