WHAT A FIND, this is enough linen to create a new look in a room, curtains, upholstery fabric, tablecloth, shower curtains, chairs, pillows you name it! ~ Approximately 42 yards of antique , hand woven linen ( please see measurement details below) This is a SET of 7 wonderful homespun European hemp sheets dating from the early 1920's ~ they make 32 POUNDS of antique, hand woven linen from France. I can't tell you how rare it is to find 6 identical, antique sheets! ~ The linen is pure, it's SUCH high quality. Each sheet has a hand stitched GP monogram , small near one edge ~ it can be cut around OR saved to make pillows etc! ~ ~ Some of the best sheets in my collection. Heavy weight, very very high quality ~ Each of these sheets weighs just under 5 pounds!~ all hand woven linen ~*~ These wonderful textiles are a lovely warm , pale ecru ~ These have a lovely plain weave , very very densely woven, extraordinarily amazing quality ! This linen was all woven by hand to create these sheets! Each sheet is constructed by HAND stitching together 2 lengths with a tiny tiny blind stitch. Each end is also hand stitched with a hem and the sides are selvage.
This collection is ideal for SO many projects , They are amazing used for one upholstery project ( a large sofa eg) OR as a farmhouse tablecloth, pillow coverings, rustic upholstery, etc! These could also be dyed for an incredibly beautiful effect!! This fabric is wonderfully high quality - I love knowing the fibers to weave these linens were grown without the use of pesticides - truly just lovely, natural fabric! These are SURE to be someone's very very favorite textiles, I promise!! ( if you think you might be a bit short, I do have one more matching sheet, search my store for the word GP, however it's ever so slightly more pale in tone than the group, probably just washed which may have lightened it!


MEASUREMENTS:
Each sheet measures approximately 83 inches wide by about 110 inches long. The center seam runs the length, so each sheet gives you 2, 3 yard long panels, by about 41 inches wide. So, at a width of 41 inches, this set will give you 42 yards of antique, amazing quality linen ~ hand woven on family farms~ Be sure to ask your upholsterer if the width of 41 inches will work for your project!


CONDITION: These gorgeous textile have been left in unwashed, as found condition -These sheets have some pale storage marks, mostly on the back of the linen ~ There is some storage dirt that should wash out; it need to be be machine washed on warm with regular detergent and some OxiClean, or Oxywhite ( I prefer Oxywhite) . They can be soaked in the Oxywhite for a few hours or even overnight! ~ Then wash with normal detergent along with fabric softener and tumble dried in the drier. ( unwashed condition reflected in the price )
