Mermaizing is a thermal glow dip that is a pale blue when warm and a light purple when cold. It has chameleon flakes, opal glitter, and silver foil flakes.
NOTES:
- We do our best to accurately reflect the color of the dip powder by taking photos in different lighting. Despite our efforts, colors may appear differently depending on a variety of factors such as lighting, dipping system/technique used, skin tone, phone/monitor settings, etc.
- If you have any issue with your dip powders, please send me a message and let me know. Not only do I believe in providing high quality dip powders, but I also believe in high quality customer service!
- No returns are accepted due to hygienic reasons. A refund may be granted if there was an error on our part.
- Quirky Dips are hand-mixed using high quality ingredients. We use a variety of methods to break the mica and matte powders down to ensure a smooth, even dip. We do our best to prevent cross-contamination of colors by cleaning the work space and utensils after each dip is made.
- Our dips are vegan, 10-free, hema and MMA free.
- A mani using Quirky Dips and a quality dip liquid system (please see our FAQ for suggestions) should last anywhere from 10 - 14 days, sometimes longer, sometimes less. Some factors that come into play are: if your nail beds are naturally oily, what dip liquids you use, what nail prep you did and when, how many dip layers you used, etc.
DIP POWDER TIPS
1. Be sure to shake and/or stir dips before use.
2. Nail prep is key to keep your nails from chipping and lifting. Please see our FAQ for tips to prevent premature lifting.
3. Whatever liquids you use, be sure to follow their instructions. Some companies have slower/quicker drying time than others so you want to follow their method for best results. Please see our FAQ for dip liquid company suggestions.
4. Use an orange stick, toothpick, or precision tool to clean the dip out of the cuticle area for a neater look.
5. Use a toothbrush or nail brush for best results in removing excess powder after each dip (some fluffy brushes will leave excess powder behind).
6. When using solids/mattes or shimmers, dip the nail in the color at least 3 times for strength and longevity. I (Yasmine) typically do 4 times since I do such thin layers with my liquids. The swatches shown are done with 4 layers of dip. If you only do 2 layers of dip because you are going for a more transparent look, be sure to add 2 layers of clear on top (4 layers total). When you only do 2 dips, you will sometimes get a cracked or chipped nail very easily and/or quickly.
GLITTER DIP TIPS
1. Place glitter into a tray or a cupcake liner and lay your finger flat on the dip, instead of dipping into the jar.
2. After each dip, be sure to use a plastic bag OR your finger to pat down the glitter so it will lay flat.
3. Use two or three layers of glitter dip for optimal use. All dip powder swatches were created with 3 layers.
4. Add one or two coats of clear dip on top of the glitter to add strength to your nail and to protect the glitter if you need to buff or file.
