Seller's description
Two rats have claimed a marble clawfoot bath in a gilded, slightly crumbling bathroom, paws hooked over the rim, whiskers twitching, mid-conversation while the gold tap runs. The joke is in the contrast: ordinary rats given the full baroque treatment, painted with the care usually reserved for a grand portrait, marble veined in rust and gold, ornate fittings, water spilling onto the tiled floor.
It plays its straight-faced elegance for comedy, which is what makes it work as a bathroom or powder-room piece, a half bath or a guest cloakroom, anywhere a visitor will do a double take. For pet rat owners it is something rarer, since fancy rats almost never get the flattering, affectionate treatment dogs and cats do, and these two read as real characters rather than vermin. Being a wide, horizontal image, it also fits the awkward spaces above a tub, toilet or towel rail where tall prints will not sit.
Titled "Two Gentlemen at the Baths," the piece treats a pair of rats as regulars at some faded spa, entirely at home in luxury that was clearly never built for them.
Printed on high-quality archival fine art paper and available in matte or satin finish. The matte finish gives a softer, more muted look with reduced glare, while the satin finish adds gentle sheen and slightly richer colours, allowing details and highlights to stand out more clearly. Frame not included.
Every print is created, checked and packaged by me in my Liverpool studio. Each order is prepared with close attention to detail so your artwork arrives safely and beautifully presented. All parcels are shipped using tracked services for reliable delivery from England to your home.
I create and develop my artwork using digital painting and compositing techniques with a graphics tablet and professional design software. My creative process also incorporates digital tools such as custom brushes and AI-assisted tools, with each piece manually refined and finished by me to achieve the final artwork.
Please be aware that the colors, brightness, contrast, saturation and vibrancy of the artwork may vary across different screens and devices. The printed image may look different from what you see on your screen due to these variations. Although my prints accurately reflect the original artwork, I have no control over the display settings of individual devices which can influence how the artwork appears.
Please note that I create my original artwork in different proportions, so small adjustments are sometimes needed when fitting them to different print sizes. All key elements of the artwork always remain fully visible and true to the original design.

Response from Veronica
Thank you so much! I’m thrilled you love the print and had a great experience!
Great quality print on glossy paper. I put this in the bathroom for a touch of kitsch cuteness and a bit of colour in what's otherwise a very white room. Love it! Many thanks!
