Make a mini-size Easter chick doll with this cute and easy PDF sewing pattern by Studio Seren Patterns. Experience sewing cloth dolls or making stuffed animal toys is not necessary. This chick sewing pattern includes step-by-step photographs, detailed instructions and lots of tips from my years of dollmaking experience. As well as showing you what to do, I also include prompts to help you avoid common mistakes. When you order a doll pattern I will invite you to join a friendly and supportive Facebook group where you can watch video demonstrations, ask questions and see chick dolls made by other members.
A chick doll would be an adorable personalised gift for an Easter basket or as handmade Easter gifts
With this sewing pattern you can make three types of birds – a chick doll, a chicken doll or a mallard duck doll
You can sew or paint the doll’s face using templates for open or closed eyes. There is an option for a round or pointed beak. You can choose to sew a tuft or a comb to the top of your bird’s head. There is the option to sew bird feet or easier rounded feet if you haven’t got a lot of sewing experience or prefer to make a simpler doll
Patterns are included to make regular shorts, elasticated shorts, a regular dress, a tiered dress and a bow, which can be attached to the doll’s head or worn as a bow tie
The chick pattern is suitable for confident beginners. If you have made some of my other doll sewing patterns you will be able to make it. The pattern includes two options for the legs – legs with bird feet which are intermediate level and legs with a rounded foot which are beginner level. All of the clothes included in the pattern are suitable for beginners
PLEASE NOTE – this pattern is for a new MINI-size Studio Seren doll. It is smaller than my ORIGINAL-size animal doll sewing patterns so the chick will NOT be able to swap or share clothes with them
