This chunky hand-bound journal has a super-soft orange leather spine, sewn by hand in a European binding style with 344 pages.
My own Willow Catkins print decorates the outside cover on rich, olive-green Lama Li paper. The hollow spine allows pages to open flat.
Pages are a mix of fine art mixed-media and writing paper in 3 weights and textures (details below).
Lining the inside are colorful decorative papers; green Thai and my Willow print on kraft paper.
Endbands and book hinges are also custom crafted with orange leather.

~168 pages Stonehenge 250g, mixed-media, 100% cotton, US made, acid/chlorine free; steel grey and white, smooth surface

Heirloom journals and sketchbooks are one of a kind, made in small groups of 2-4 at a time. Block prints are drawn, carved and printed by the binder, in very small batches with custom mixed colors.
