This downed BLACK WALNUT tree in the farmers field was a great find for Giz! Now, after years of drying and planning, these beautiful shelves are ready to go.

The natural color and grain of this premium wood is absolutely fabulous, flowing with deeply contrasting colors. The live edge is thick and secure, and the stripped edge is brilliant with texture and color. Flat edge is available for those interested in a more contemporary look. The shelves are cut 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick and are 4-5 inch depth. A true gift from Mother Nature and masterfully crafted by Giz. Perfect for any room in the house. All hardware included.

My brother Giz studies every piece of wood before the first cut to determine the best approach to get the best color, shape, grain, and bark. All Giz's creations are made with love and pride from reclaimed wood from Central Wisconsin Amish Country.

I received the black walnut live edge shelf and It’s beautifully done. The bark on the live edge is intact and exactly what I had hoped for. I would recommend purchasing from this dealer. I would also like to purchase a 1 inch think shelf instead of 2 inches. But the one I have is great.
