"To My Sweetheart" is one of over 60 in the collection "Sentimental Journeys." Each design in this collection contains an original vintage postcard or greeting card representing the "journey" of over 100 years. When adding a new card to the collection, I began my task of love of presenting that card's beauty for others to see.
Select cards were chosen and collected from around the world to be transformed into a unique and lovely "Journey."
Betty designed and painted a custom mat for each card.....the painting extended the original artwork in a matching or coordinated design extending that artwork so that the design appeared to visually cascade out and over its border. This unique technique created a visual artistic treat for the eyes.
A beautiful complementary 5 x 7 easel back frame completes the design..... art can also be wall hung.
Makes a lovely gift for someone special. Sentimental Journeys.....the fusion of vintage art from yesteryear with artistry of today to create one-of-a-kind originals.
