Are your products handmade?

Yes! Every Industrial Farm Co. piece is handmade to order in our Camillus, New York steel shop using locally sourced American steel. Nothing is pre-made. Your piece is cut, deburred, drilled, welded, finished, and packed specifically for your order. Because we work with raw steel, our Bare Steel and Matte Clear finishes may show natural variations in color, mill scale, fabrication marks, and welds. These are part of the character of handcrafted steel and are not defects. Powder-coated finishes provide a smooth, consistent, uniform appearance. Made to last like things used to be.

How long will my order take to ship?

Our current production time is approximately 7–10 business days before shipping. Because everything is handmade to order, production time is separate from shipping/transit time. Orders ship using standard Ground shipping. Once your order leaves our shop, tracking will be provided through Etsy. Need it sooner? Message us before ordering or before your order ships. We’re happy to provide expedited shipping options and pricing when available. Need your order by a specific date? Let us know — we’ll always tell you honestly if your timeline is doable.

Do you offer custom sizes or custom designs?

Absolutely! Custom sizing, custom designs, and bulk orders are always welcome. Send us the dimensions you need along with any inspiration photos, drawings, or details about your project, and we'll let you know what's possible. Please carefully review all dimensions before ordering. If you're unsure which size you need or how to measure for your project, message us before purchasing and we're happy to help. Customers are responsible for confirming measurements and fit. Custom-sized and custom-designed pieces are non-returnable.

Are brackets sold individually or in sets?

Unless specifically stated otherwise in the listing, our pieces are sold individually — not as pairs or sets. This allows you to purchase exactly the number your project requires. Please carefully review the quantity in your cart before checking out. If you're unsure how many brackets you may need for your project, feel free to message us with your shelf or mantel dimensions and we'll be happy to offer general guidance.

Do you include mounting hardware? How should I install my piece?

Mounting hardware is not included because installation surfaces vary and require different fasteners. Whenever possible, we recommend mounting directly into wall studs, especially for heavy-duty applications. Anchors may reduce weight capacity. Need mounting holes in specific locations? Message us before ordering to see if we can accommodate your stud placement. Some pieces may also be available undrilled. We’re happy to offer general guidance, but because every installation is different, we recommend consulting a professional if you’re unsure about mounting or weight requirements.

What should I know about your steel finishes & care?

Our pieces are handcrafted from raw steel. Bare/Raw Steel: Natural variations, mill scale, fabrication and forming marks may be visible. Uncoated steel can oxidize or develop surface rust over time. Matte Clear Coat: Protects the steel while preserving its natural raw appearance, so variations and fabrication marks may remain visible. Powder Coat: Provides a smooth, consistent, uniform finish that conceals most fabrication marks and requires little maintenance. Not sure which finish is right for you? We recommend ordering our Finish Sample Kit before purchasing.

Can I change/cancel my order or change my shipping address?

Unfortunately, we cannot change the shipping address once an order is placed. Please carefully verify your address at checkout. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect/incomplete address, no mail receptacle, or other address-related issue, the customer is responsible for the cost to ship it again. If tracking shows DELIVERED but you cannot locate your package, please check with household members, neighbors, and your carrier. If it still cannot be located, you will need to file a missing-package claim with the carrier and/or through Etsy’s applicable purchase protection process. We’re happy to provide any information needed for your claim.

What is your return policy?

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery to request a return. Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping. Items must be returned in their original, undamaged condition. Please package your return carefully with adequate protective material. If an item is returned improperly packaged and arrives damaged, we will not be able to issue a refund. Custom sizes and custom orders are non-returnable. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please message us with photos and we’ll make it right.

Tracking says delivered, but I don’t have my package. What do I do?

If tracking shows DELIVERED but you cannot locate your package, please check around your property, with household members and neighbors, and contact your local carrier. If it still cannot be located, you will need to file a missing-package claim with the carrier and/or through Etsy’s applicable purchase protection process. Once tracking confirms delivery to the address provided at checkout, we cannot issue a replacement or refund without going through the appropriate claim process. We’re happy to provide any order or shipping information needed to help with your claim.

Do you offer military discounts, bulk pricing or sale adjustments?

Military Discount: We proudly offer 10% off for active duty, retired, veteran, and reservist personnel. Message us and we’ll gladly provide a discount code. Thank you for your service! Bulk Orders: We welcome bulk and larger orders for homes, builders, designers, businesses, restaurants, hotels, and more. Message us with the item, quantity, and project details for pricing.
