This print is 6 x 8 inches (printed on 8 x 10 paper) made with archival ink on acid-free paper. I chose this premium, matte paper to accurately represent the colors of the original paintings. I hand sign, title, and date each print before they leave the studio.



ABOUT ME:
I've sold over 4,000 paintings to collectors all over the world. My art has decorated movie sets and television shows, TV commercials, and been featured in magazines. My larger paintings mostly sell out of my studio and in galleries and I spend most of my time working on those now. But these little ones are near and dear to my heart.

I've been doing these small studies for about 20 years. When I quit advertising and started painting professionally, the first place I started to sell my work was online. It’s in my DNA as an artist I guess you could say. I owe a lot to this community that’s supported me all these years. And it all started with a small canvas. They're small enough that I can load a few panels and take them along with my cigar box palette and set up anywhere and just start painting.

There's something about the immediacy of the brush stroke when I’m painting small. The painting doesn’t go on for days and allow me to overthink things. I just get in and get out - grab the gesture, the moment, just the idea of the thing. And that informs larger works. That’s what’s alluring for me about these.

Some of these are studies that will become larger paintings and some of them are quick color or gesture studies. Some were plein air practice. I've done many of them over the years and I'm listing a few of them, originals and prints here, only on Etsy.
