Very lovely, light and timeless black silk strapless dress from the French designer Courrèges, from his F/W 1980 collection. The dress has a plain silk underslip and the outer layer is a fine tulle that is horizontally sectioned and decorated with tiny balls. The torso is boned. There are ribbon strips down each side, and at the waist there are loops but no belt ( I have added a length of ribbon for the photos, and will include a length long enough to tie in different ways). Hard to describe the dress in words! But it is a beautiful piece.
