I found this wood box a few months ago and thought it would be a great shabby decorative accent.
To the top I added a square of wood to cover a previous design. Hand painted the entire box in a light ivory with a light pink brocade background.
To the center top I hand stenciled a French cologne ad then added to top and bottom my signature pink roses to complete.
Distress lightly graces all around and chippy on the closure and back hinges.
The opening hinge works perfectly and with a push tight on the lever it closes nicely.

Inside I hand painted the top and bottom with the same light pink as the background brocade pattern then added tulle and pearls around the edge corner to finish a shabby romantic style.

All is sealed in a satin finish to protect the design for years to come.
Perfect to hold whatever you need in a pretty way. Keepsakes, watches, jewelry, craft supplies, meds, bathroom essentials, dressing table treasures and more.

Bottom felt tabs are added for protections on furniture.
As a note* when using hand painted boxes or closure items, if sticking occurs with use when lid touches the bottom, simply rub a bar of soap softly across the edges to keep everything sitting smoothly. This tip works like a charm.

This wood box measures, 6 3/4" square with a height of 3" tall.
